  • History channel's "VIkings" is currently on its break before its fourth season premiere on 2016. With their hiatus, many fans and experts have speculated about the upcoming installment.

The prime rumor about "Vikings" Season 4 is the expected time jump between the third and the fourth season. However, questions about how much time have passed are still unanswered. Another main talking point for viewers is the idea of King Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) eventual death on Season 4.

According to a report, all of the battles on the previous installments have taken a toll on the mighty character of Fimmel. Ragnar Lothbrok was the main protagonist for the past three seasons but the upcoming installment could prove to be different than its predecessors.

Assuming that Ragnar's death will indeed happen, expect a new generation to take over the historical TV series. It could be Bjorn Lothbrok (Alexander Ludwig) or someone else. All of this will be known when the season 4 hits the TV screens on 2016.

To give "Vikings" fans some idea to think about, here are the latest updates on "Vikings" Season 4.
  • Bjorn Lothbrok (Alexander Ludwig) was seen in this photo with a gray beard, which could suggest that the time jump of "Vikings" Season 4 is massive.
  • King Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) might be taken over by his son Bjorn Lothbrok (Alexander Ludwig) in the next season.
  • In a trailer, Athelstan (George Blagden) was reading a passage in a Bible, which he said, "One generation passes away, and another generation comes." This could be the theme for "Vikings" Season 4.
  • "Bjorn is the only one who isn't into the power as much as the others. He's not into the earldom as much; he's not jealous of anything. His motives are only for the people and not for gods and power and status."
  • In "Vikings" Season 4, fans will know how Rollo Lothbrok (Clive Standen) adjusts to being a father. The upcoming installment will also present the impact of the agreement between Rollo and Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau).
  • Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) is facing an arrest for murdering Athelstan. Sentencing Floki might become difficult for Ragnar because the former was his childhood friend.
