Sandra Bland Death: Jury Rules Not To Indict Anyone In Texas Woman's Jail Cell Death, Twitter Reacts [PHOTO]
A jury has decided not to indict anyone in the July death of Sandra Bland in a Texas jail cell.
According to reports, the Grand Jury came to their decision because evidence from an investigations into her death appeared to show that Bland only killed herself and was not killed at the hands of cops. She was found dead in her cell three days after her arrest. Her cause of death was ruled as asphyxiation after using a plastic bag to hang herself.
Bland's family has claimed the jail was reckless when it came to determining her safety while in custody, and claims police officer Brian Encinia, who arrested Bland after pulling her over, falsified an assault allegation to take her into custody.
Since the decision came through, many have taken to Twitter to denounce the decision, saying that the system failed Bland because she shouldn't have been arrested in the first place.
I'm very sad to find out that there is no indictment in the death of #SandraBland. The whole situation is heartbreaking. #SayHerName

Appalled and disgusted. If only she were a spoiled, drunken white 16 year old who killed 4 people...she'd be alive. WTF? #SandraBland

With each one of these non-indictments, the little trust we had in the judicial process erodes. #SandraBland

Sandra should not have been arrested in the first place. That's the 1st crime & no further investigation needed #SandraBland #SayHerName — Noura Erakat (@4noura) December 22, 2015
#SandraBland should never have been taken to jail. Her humanity was violated when she was violently yanked from her car. It's indefensible.
