'Dark Matter' Season 2: Does Six Really Have His Memories Back? EP Spills The Truth

The Syfy series begin filming for its sophomore run in mid December, and the start of production means new casting details. Series creator Joseph Mallozzi has teased several new characters - Devon, Inspector Shaddick of the G.A.'s Serious Crimes Division, Misaki Han, and Nyx (Melanie Liburd) - but the writer took time to delve into the tale of Arax Nero on Tuesday.

In his mid-40s, Arax is a "powerful prison boss and former underworld figure...Cool, calculated, sometimes uneasingly calm, he can be both a charming and chilling presence."

The powers that be have yet to announce casting for Arax, but Mallozzi may pull from the Stargate family to fill the role.

When Dark Matter returns this summer, the crew of the Raza will no longer have their freedom. Six (Roger Cross) turned his friends over to the Galactic Authority in the final moments of season 1, and the amnesiac criminals/heroes will become Hyperion 8's newest inmates as season 2 begins.

Find out what's next for One (Marc Bendavid), Two (Melissa O'Neil), Three (Anthony Lemke), Four (Alex Mallari, Jr.), Five (JOdelle Ferland), Six, and the Android (Zoie Palmer) when Dark Matter returns to Syfy in 2016.
