Lil Wayne is no newbie when it comes to getting in trouble with the law, and the rapper is facing a new lawsuit from a man who claims he was hit in the head with "what appeared to be skateboard" by a Young Money employee--all for trying to take a picture.

According to the lawsuit filed by attorney Craig Chisvin on Feb.8, the victim of the alleged attack is Alfred Marino, and states that "he doesn't know who intentionally struck him on his head," but believes the attacker was working for Wayne on May 3, 2012, when the incident occurred.

According to E!, Marino claims that he spotted the How to Love rapper on the streets of Los Angeles and attempted to take a picture. But before he had the chance to, an unidentified man took a skateboard and bashed him in the back of the head.

As a result of the incident, the lawsuit states that Marino "sustained severe and serious injuries to his head, in addition to lost wages and lost earning capacity."

In addition to Wayne, the victim is also suing Young  Money Entertainment Label and Trukfit clothing line in the same lawsuit.

"This alleged situation happened so long ago and really was not a big deal at the time," a source close to the matter tells E! News. "It is shocking to a lot of us that so many months later this is being brought to court."

Marino is asking for unspecified damages to pay for assault; battery; and negligent hiring, training and supervision.

This is not the first time Wayne and his crew were involved in a violent confrontation with a skateboard and a camera.  In April 2012, Wayne was accused for attacking a photographer who saw him in Miami.  According to TMZ, the photographer noticed Wayne and his entourage skateboarding outside a church--near a "no skateboarding" sign -- so he decided to take a few pics. Wayne's entourage surrounded him, made him delete the photos he took, and pushed him to the ground. The photographer also claimed one of Wayne's people spat on him.

The photographer later filed a report with the Miami Police department.
