Star Wars cast newcomer British parkour runner Pip Andersen, 23, from Taunton landed an acting career and was picked for stardom from 67,000 hopefuls who applied for coveted roles at open auditions last November.

23-year-old Pip, from Taunton in Somerset, is a professional parkour athlete. His skills were on display in a pretty cool 2012 Sony ad wherein Andersen’s Spider-Man skills were put on display.

England is a master of freerunning - an agility based skill which sees the participant propel from one point to another using movements including running, jumping and vaulting

Disney and Lucasfilm announced that the new recruits had been chosen from 37,000 actors who attended open casting calls in the U.S. and Britain, and another 30,000 who submitted applications online.

Producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said: "We are delighted that so many travelled to see us at the open casting calls and that we have been able to make Crystal and Pip a part of the film."
