Celtic vs Juventus in the Champions League takes place Tuesday night in what promises to be an epic encounter with the Scottish champions making a rare appearance in the knock out stages of Europe’s top football competition. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7.45 p.m. UK time and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided at the foot of this article.

If Celtic can won at home today, they will pick up a reputation of “Giant Killers” in this year’s tournament. Having already handed Barcelona a rare defeat earlier in the competition, another win against one of the best sides in Italy would certainly turn heads among Europe’s elite teams.

In team news Celtic have major concerns about Georgios Samaras and Efe Ambrose. However, the team’s manager and physios are expected to wait until the last moment to make a final decision about whether either player will be able to feature tonight.

Samaras has been out with a hamstring injury, and although he has been fighting back to get fit it is unsure at this time whether he has won his battle to make it back for this huge game against the Italian giants.

Meanwhile, Ambrose recently featured for Nigeria in their Africa Cup of Nations final win over Burkina Faso on Sunday, and he was not even scheduled to be back in Glasgow until Tuesday morning. He is sure not to want to miss this massive tie, but whether he will have recovered from his African Cup of Nations exploits, celebrations and travel remains to be seen.

In good news for the home side, Emilio Izaguirre's recovery from a knee injury is complete and he should be available for selection, while winger James Forrest is fit again after a hamstring problem.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said prior to tonight’s game: "It is as you were with Samaras, we will make a decision on him on Tuesday. Izaguirre trained today and has joined the squad and Forrest is fit and Ambrose, we expect to arrive on Tuesday morning,” according to BBC Sport.

Lennon added, "We will see what condition he is in and if he is OK, we will have him in the squad. We will give Georgios as much time as is needed. He has been doing pretty aggressive rehabilitation work and we are hopeful he will be OK. If not, then I have a very strong squad and we will have him fit for the second leg."

Meanwhile Juventus have said that they are not underestimating the Scottish champions. Even though they rarely make it into the knock out stages of the Champions League tournament, they have earned the respect of the Italian team.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte has said, "If anyone has underestimated Celtic, it has certainly not been us. We have great respect for them. We have followed Celtic very closely and they were very strong against Spartak, Benfica and Barcelona and even before that in the qualifiers.”

He added, "They are a very good team. To beat Barcelona here and to go close in the Nou Camp is proof of that. We are going to have to be very careful."
