The Brooklyn actress opened up to People during the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala and revealed that she found Gosling to be a savior of sorts because he was the one who finally got everyone to finally start pronouncing her name correctly.

When presenting Ronan, 21, with the New Hollywood Award at the Hollywood Film Awards last year, Gosling, who directed her in his debut Lost River in 2014, the 35-year-old actor made sure to let everyone know the correct way to say her name, and even came up with a clever way to get people to remember how to pronounce it.

"It's Ser-sha, like inertia," he said at the time.

Now, Ronan is crediting him with her name suddenly being pronounced correctly ever since.

"Someone sent me a photo two weeks later of a cinema in Minnesota, and on the sign in the front it said 'Brooklyn' and then underneath it said, 'Ser-sha, Like Inertia,'" she said. "I couldn't believe it! They actually put it on the front of the cinema, so the power of Ryan Gosling is stronger than anything else."

"He's like, Jesus, or something, like a blond Canadian Jesus," she added.
