Despite not seeming as though they were making plans to walk down the aisle anytime soon, the opposite may be true for Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, who are now reportedly planning to marry soon and get to work on baby no. 2!

According to new reports, the couple, who are parents to daughter Esmeralda, 1, are hoping to give her a sibling--and want to have the new baby by next Christmas! And though they would love to have one of each when it comes to their kids, they're happy no matter if they have a boy or a girl the second time around.  

"He just loves being a dad," a source said.

In addition, parenthood appears to have changed the couple's previous views on being married, and that now, they're ready to finally start walking down the aisle and heading for matrimonial bliss. 

"[Being a husband] wasn't something [Ryan ever] aspired to," the source said. "[Once] Eva's mothering instincts kicked in, and Ryan fell in love with her all over again." 

Now, the two are beginning to feel as though marriage makes sense for them, but if they tie the knot, the notoriously private couple will keep things low-key as they're known to do. 

"No big A-listers will be there," the source added. "The last thing they want is an over-the-top spectacle." 

And if that is their goal, it's likely they'll be able to pull it off despite their high profiles. Not only did they manage to keep Mendes' pregnancy under wraps last year until she was seven months along, but it took over a year before anyone was able to snap a photo of their daughter as well.
