Another sneak peek has droped in the run up to next Tuesday's premiere, and the Isabelle and Alec clip has us more than a little excited. Why? Well, aside from the fact that we get to see a little Lightwood sibling banter, the brief preview shows that a "City of Ashes" storyline will be pulled to the fore in season 1.

Arriving back at the Institute after their Pandemonium foray, Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) teases her brooding brother. Why is he so angry? Is it because of Clary's (Katherine McNamara) sudden appearance, or the fact that Jace (Dominic Sherwood) was making eyes at the newest addition to the Shadowhunters? Alec (Matthew Daddario), however, claims his irritation stems from a much more pressing matter.

"Maybe I'm pissed that she's ruined the mission. We never found out who's buying the blood. That was our one job," Alec says before moodily stalking off.

Book readers know that wasn't the teens original Pandemonium mission, but it sure sounds like elements of a plot line that didn't full materialize until the second installment of Cassandra Clare's series.

Will we see more of this plotline as the season progresses, or will Clary's problems shift it to the backburner? Find out when Shadowhunters head to Freeform (previously ABC Family) on Jan. 12.
