Amal Clooney and her Hollywood husband George might be one of the most celebrated couples in the entertainment business, but they haven't managed to win everyone over. In fact, a new report says the couple have lost their battle against their irate neighbors over the "unsightly" surveillance cameras at their English estate.

Apparently, Amal must be very fearful for her life as the couple had plans to install a total of 18 cameras all around their $15 million dollar estate in the English countryside near Oxfordshire.

But their future neighbors managed to block their plans after complaints were made that the white protective camera covers were "out of character" for the neighborhood.

According to Star Pulse on Wednesday, South Oxfordshire district councilor Paul Harrison explained, "I went and had a look and found it was unsightly... It was quite bright, a brilliant white. I thought it was out of character and would destroy the visual aspect."

Harrison added, "From our point of view it's very good that the applicant, or the agents, have listened to the views of residents and addressed the problem."

The estate is currently being renovated to add a pool, pool house and a private cinema. There's also speculation that George might be leaving Hollywood behind to live full-time in England so his wife Amal can continue to work in London.
