If you glance real fast you might actually miss him.

On Sunday night, Boy George, the legendary British pop artist who has always faltered on the heavier side, posted a picture of himself on Twitter sporting a thinner physique. He made an official debut of his new body on the red carpet at the 2013 WhatsOnStage.com Awards at the Palace Theatre in London.

Wearing his signature frosted eyeshadow, a newsboy cap and a bright blue tie, the Karma Chameleon singer’s rare appearance surprised both fans and media alike.

Prior to the event, the Culture Club member showed off his new frame on Twitter with a picture and caption that read, “Rock n roll Sunday!”

Fans tweeted the singer asking for his weight loss secret.

Boy George, 51, credits his weight loss to portion control and cutting out sweets in his diet.

He posted images of his healthy meals like a spicy broccoli and cheese dish and a cannelloni bean and veggie curry.

Replying to a fan, he tweeted, “No, portion control. 5 hour gaps between meals. No coffee or tea, except at meals. Water & fizzy water between meals!”

He added.

“No bread, no sugar!”

He also tallies his results to Amelia Freer’s nutrition plan.

Boy George, born George Alan O’Dowd, rose to fame in the 80’s as an artist who ushered in the new wave music genre. His group Culture Club garnered several hits in both the U.S. and the U.K. some of which include Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? and Church of the Poison Mind.

Toward the peak of his career, he battled a severe addiction to heroin and other drugs. In October 2005, Boy George was arrested in Manhattan for cocaine possession and falsely reporting a burglary. He was sentenced to five days of community service, received a $1,000 fine and order to attend a drug rehabilitation program.
