Clive Davis, the powerful music mogul who launched the careers of Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys has decided to come out as bisexual on the Katie Couric show to air Feb. 19th. The news comes on the heels of the day his new book was released called The Soundtrack of my Life, in which he delved into his long-term relationships with men.

He told Couric he became open to the possibility of being with men after his marriage fell apart in the mid 1980s.

“I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have a relationship with a man as well as the two that I had with a woman.” He said, “I’m still attracted to women. You don’t have to be only one thing or another. For me, it’s the person.”

In an interview with ABC News, the Grammy Award winning producer said he wasn’t confused about his sexuality and that he had good relationships with women. Davis, 81, said he didn’t have sex with men for 50 years and never thought about men sexually until he reached his 50s.

“It wasn’t repressed -- I had very good sexual relationships with women. Never for me... this very maligned and misunderstood subject of bisexuality came up,” he said.

According to Rolling Stone, in the book Davis revealed, he had a long-term relationship with a man from 1990 to 2004 and has been in a new relationship with another since then.

The Brooklyn, New York born producer recently came under fire when he invited Cissy Houston to attend his annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hills hotel. Houston was taken back by the invitation as it would have brought her back to the exact location where her daughter died last year.

"I got an invitation to the party - which is the most obscene thing," Cissy told Access Hollywood. "I don't know why they would want me to come to the party in which she died, you know? Unheard of."

Giving Davis the benefit of the doubt she added, "I guess maybe he just sent me a copy for remembrance sake."

Houston, 79, had instead opted to watch the Grammy's at home.
