The 100's AI is the biggest mystery this side of the nuclear apocalypse.

'The 100' Season 3 Premiere: Prepare For A 'Disappointed & Heartbroken' Bellamy, Eliza Taylor Explains Why

Last year, Jaha (Isaiah Washington) and Murphy (Richard Harmon) set out for the City of Light. What they found, however, is not at all what anyone expected. Instead basking in the safety of the Promised Land, Jaha came face to face with Alie the AI (Erica Cerra) while Murphy found uncovered a disquieting truth.

Series creator Jason Rothenberg added to the mystery on Wednesday, tweeting out a photo of Cerra's character holding an infinity sign.

So, what is Alie up to? We know her creator blames her for kicking off a nuclear war, but Murphy will learn a whole lot more about Alie during the first few minutes of the season 3 premiere.

"The teaser for the premiere episode is crazy. It's all Murphy all the time," Rothenberg explained in an iTunes featurette. "The bunker that he made his way to in season 2 becomes a prison, essentially. He spends three months deteriorating before our eyes. We learn more about Alie and who she is and how she came to be."

Perhaps Murphy will soon be able to shed a little light on what really happened 97 years ago and what Alie is planning to do with Jaha's nuclear warhead.

What do you think Alie's connection to the infinity sign is? Sound off in the comments below.
