For everyone who's had a blast watching the 15th season of Degrassi, find out what can be expected for new episodes.

Zoe Questions Her Sexuality On 'Degrassi'

In Saturday's report from Observer Culture, co-creator Linda Schuyler opened up on casting and what they're looking for when it comes to hiring actors for new characters- something the 16th season will likely come with.

"When we're casting we look for true honesty and vulnerability in the actor and we cast age appropriate, not twenty-somethings playing a 15-year-old," Schuyler explained. "If you cast older than the role, you've already knocked out the authenticity of that role because no matter how good the actor is, if you cast a 25-year-old to play a 15-year-old, they're bringing ten more years of life experience to that role than if you cast someone who is actually 15."

Also, can fans expect any storylines to be deemed as too much for future episodes? Don't count on it.

"We don't consider any issues about teenagers taboo," the co-creator said. "If it's important to them, it's important to us."

Schuyler also added how there are certain moments on the series that don't always come with a black or white result.

"We never deem that we have the right answers," she said. "They may be the right answers for some characters and the wrong answers for other characters. All I want young people to do is know that there are choices and options out there and that they're not alone in trying to make these decisions."
