Erica Mena has a few things to say about love after her breakup with rapper and actor Bow Wow.

While she and Bow Wow had a pretty ugly split after a battle on social media, it looks like the former Love & Hip Hop New York star has not given up on love. But it also seems she has changed her perspective on what it really is.

She shared a video on Instagram of motivational speaker Rob Hill, Sr. speaking on what love really is.

Hill encouraged viewers to tell themselves, “I deserve the best kind of love. Not just the rest, not just some left over stuff. I deserve the most excellent love that person has to offer. And I’m not stopping until I get that.”

She added the caption, “Real Love & Bright Light”

Mena and Bow Wow were going strong in their whirlwind romance. They first went public with their relationship in the summer of 2014 before they announced their engagement at the BET Hip Hop Awards just a few weeks later, which made fans think it was a publicity stunt on both ends. Still, they insisted that Bow Wow didn’t pop the question for attention.

But things got a little strange when they first announced they were getting married in April of last year when the month came and went and there was no sign of a wedding. Mena later said they pushed it back to July but they never revealed a specific date for their ceremony.
