In a recent interview with CNBC at the Davos World Economic Forum, Kevin Spacey, joked about the prospect of his character Frank Underwood going up against Donald Trump.

Is This Going To Be The Last Chapter Of The Netflix Drama?

Deadline sourced the interviews with Spacey that addressed such a possibility. When asked what would be the points of contention in a debate as this, Spacey revealed that the debate wouldn't take place at all, and he had a pretty eery reason for it.

"There would be a terrible accident on the way to the debate, and - it would be terrible, and very sad," he said.

Frank And Claire To Officially Call It Off During His Campaign

On the day before, CBS News caught up with Spacey and he revealed more about the nature of such a showdown.

"We must remember one important distinction: one of these characters is a fictional character, and the other is a fictional character," he said.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife about some Trump association on the show. Not only does Trump fit the kind of dramatic mold of a show like House of Cards, but the kind of controversy that he invites makes it hard to not use him for material in a political drama. In fact, lately showrunner Beau Willimon has been quite critical of Trump via Twitter. He has also been posting about Trump's similarity to Putin as well.

Bringing in a Trump-inspired character or having Frank emulate some traits of Trump would definitely make this chapter very intriguing.

Season 4 will air on March 4 on Netflix.
