2016 is off to a rough start for Charlie Sheen following reports that his ex-wife, Denise Richards had filed a case against the Two and a Half Men star.

The legal war is centered on the children's trust in which Richards claims that Sheen has turned his back on, the promise of a home for her and their children, San and Lola. It's not just the two who are in a controversial feud. It's also gone ugly between the lawyers of the former couple.

According to Us Magazine, Richards' lawyer Patricia Glaser, slams Sheen's attorney Marty Singer for saying that the actress is just after more money. "Not only are Mr. Singer's comments about Ms. Richards blatantly inaccurate, they're also inappropriate, and unprofessional," Glaser said. "Ms. Richards is doing everything she can to protect her children from the fallout of Mr. Sheen's erratic lifestyle and its enormously negative impact on their children."

Singer claims that his client has been overly generous to Richards, saying: "In addition to what Charlie has been paying Denise, he also pays for school, all expenses and it's still not enough for her," he said. "He intends to fight this and believes he will prevail."
