Seth MacFarlane hosted the 2013 Oscars on Feb. 24 for what will reportedly be his only time leading the annual awards show.

MacFarlane was asked by Twitter user @CrusePhoto if he would ever return as a host if he was asked to come back.

The 39-year-old comedian's answer was definite.

"No way," MacFarlane tweeted on Feb. 26 in response to the fan.

It was not all bad as he added that it was a "Lotta fun to have done it, though."

MacFarlane's routine as Oscar host was filled with shots at Hollywood and edgy jokes that may have crossed the line for some.

He received mixed to negative reviews for his turn as host, with many offended by jokes that were perceived as racist, sexist or homophobic. There were a few that landed, but many felt his routine was dominated by objectionable humor.

Even though MacFarlane's performance was not met with rave reviews, the Family Guy creator helped the show bring in big viewership numbers for the night.

This year's Oscars brought in an audience of 40.3 million in the U.S. which is a million viewers up from last year's broadcast. That figure marks the 2013 viewership at its highest in the past three years, according to Nielsen data reported by MTV News.

It is likely that the Oscar producers knew what they were in for when they hired MacFarlane who is also known for his raunchy comedy Ted. The titular foul-mouthed teddy bear and co-star Mark Wahlberg even made an appearance during the film director's hosting of the award show.

MacFarlane also addressed rumors of a sequel to Ted to Collider saying that nothing is certain yet but many on the original team are interested.

"It has not been officially signed off on yet," MacFarlane said. "But it's very promising."
