Orange Is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne recently spoke on the funny nature of the show's fans.

Will Pablo Schreiber Return To 'Orange Is the New Black' As 'Pornstache'?

Lyonne, who plays scene-stealer Nicky Nichols on OITNB, talked with PopSugar recently alongside Chloë Sevigny to promote their new movie, Afterbirth. Speaking on the craziness of some within the Orange Is the New Black fan base, Lyonne noted how the conversation is essentially the same through most days of the year.

"The irony with 'Orange Is the New Black', is that people spend a full 11 months and 29 days compulsively obsessing about 'When is it coming out? What's happening?'" Lyonne said. "And then, within one day, 13 hours, they consume the entire thing, and then it's just boom! Right back to, like, 'I have more questions! Next season, I wanna know.'"

She also compared the Orange fan base to the fan base of American Horror Story's, which Sevigny recently starred in.

"They both have rabid fan bases that are really obsessive in kind of a fun way for us that I don't know that we've had so much of," Lyonne said. "We probably have had it in that, weirdly, our other experiences are sort of cult in nature. Those fans tend to also be really personal, that's a better way of putting it than 'rabid.' It becomes really personal."

There is still no indication of whether Lyonne will return for season 4 of Orange Is the New Black considering the fate of her character in season 3.

Orange Is the New Black season 4 will be released in full on Friday, June 17 on Netflix.
