On Tuesday, Daily Mail posted a few snapshots of the pop-rock star and her friend Ryan Cabrera who reportedly moved in with Lavigne after her ex Chad Kroeger moved out.

Lavigne and Cabrera were spotted looking at lighting fixtures in West Hollywood where they looked to be in happy spirits. There's also a possibility that some flirting may have happened based on the site's suspicions.

Lavigne wore a black top with small shorts and sunglasses as Cabrera sported a black T-shirt that flaunted his tattoos.

According to E! News, the split between Lavigne and Kroeger was pretty expected and the "Skater Boy" singer seems to be doing fine.

"Honestly, she's doing okay," a source told the site. "This has been in the works for a while."

It was unfortunate that it didn't work out for the two and it doesn't sound like there is a specific reason why it ended- for the most part, it was probably just not meant to work out.

"Chad is being supportive," the source said. "At the end of the day, they just didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things...their friends and their circles never really mixed. They originally got together to make an album and that's where the spark between them originated. But it just slowly died out."
