Director Mike Nichols is being profiled in tonight's new episode of PBS's American Masters.

Nichols, who has directed such classics as The Graduate, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Silkwood, Postcards on the Edge and Angels in America, will be honored tonight on PBS.

American Masters: Mike Nichols features interviews with Nicols himself and numerous A-list actors he worked with over the course of his career.

"Meet one of America's great directors (The Graduate, Angels in America), who discusses his life and 50-year artistic career, from comedy duo Nichols and May to Charlie Wilson's War," the PBS plot synopsis reads. "See new interviews with Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and more."

American Masters: Mike Nichols premieres at 9 p.m. ET/PT on PBS and will last for one hour.
