He has an intense hatred for Sam (Kelly Monaco) and blames her for Jason (Billy Miller) and Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) split, but Jake (James Nigborn) may have bitten off more than he could chew with his latest episode on General Hospital.

Jake broke a window in the house for more attention, but Sam was the one who showed up instead, and she quickly figured out that he had been the one behind the incidents at the house. Scared she would tell his parents, he ran into the basement to hide-and when she went to go get him, Sam tripped and fell down the stairs.

Now, she is laying unconscious in Elizabeth's basement, and a scared Jake doesn't know what to do. Though he hates Sam, he doesn't want to actually hurt her, but he will be scared that he can't explain this situation away. As such, he may wind up leaving Sam in the basement and then going back upstairs. And when Jason and Elizabeth get back to the house, he won't tell them she's there.

If Sam is left to die, it could change things for the course of her story with Jason. The two are finally on a path to potentially being reunited-and her current crisis could upset that.

However, if she too has issues with memory after her accident, it could prove another interesting obstacle for her and Jason to overcome before finally reuniting for good.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
