After months of rumors, the truth is finally out - The Flash and Supergirl will get the crossover fans are clamoring for.

'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: How Will Earth-2 Change Vibe? EP Teases Cisco's Future

Ever since Christmas, the DC fandom has been rife with whispers of a potential Barry (Grant Gustin)/Kara (Melissa Benoist) meeting. While The Flash and Supergirl's executive producer Greg Berlanti originally dismissed the idea, the pieces have now come together. Although CW's DC universe has yet to acknowledge the existence of any Kryptonian heroes, the Scarlet Speedster and Supergirl will cross paths on March 28.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl-The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!" Berlanti told DC Comics. "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen."
