He was working with his father to do whatever he could to get the Santori family out of Newman, but Adam's (Justin Hartley) big plan to blackmail Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) will officially backfire on The Young and the Restless.

Adam Springs A Trap For Luca

Adam tricked Luca into handing over a bunch of evidence of his father's wrongdoings and illegal activities, and revealed afterwards that the file Luca thought contained evidence against Victor (Eric Braedan) was fake, and there was no FBI agent. However, what he thought was a brilliant plan is now officially about to blow up in his face, when Luca reveals something he knows, which Adam was unaware of.

Luca knows that Noah (Robert Adamson) is the one who ran over Billy (Jason Thompson) with his car, and will reveal to Adam that if he turns in the evidence against Luca's father to the feds, then he will turn Noah in for leaving the scene of the accident and leaving Billy to die. Now, with the tables reversed back around on him, Adam will realize that he has to do whatever he can to protect his nephew--and that will mean still working with the Santori's and revealing to Victor that he screwed up.

Hillary Regains Her Memories And Asks Devon For Another Chance

Now, after he realizes how badly things went down, Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) will remind him that she knew this would happen, and taunts him with his screw up.

"Your big plan just blew up, didn't it?" She says in a preview clip for the Thursday, Feb. 4 episode.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
