Colony is only three episodes into its heart-pounding look at post-Arrival life in Los Angeles, but Carlton Cuse's (Lost) latest project is pulling in the ratings that would make most sci-fi shows green with envy.

"Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided," USA Network president Chris McCumber said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "Colony's performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can't wait to see where the story takes us."

Set nearly a year after the arrival of a mysterious extraterrestrial force, Colony brings viewer an alien invasion without the aliens. The world - or at least Santa Monica and Los Angeles - has been divided into blocks. The city's residents are now beholden to the power of the human-fronted Transitional Authority and the deadly menace of the drones. For Will Bowman (Josh Holloway) and his wife, navigating the totalitarian regime has forced them to each take sides. Unbeknownst to Will, his wife is working for the resistance while he has unwillingly teamed up with the occupation in an effort to find his son and save his family from the dreaded Factory.
