A part of her had been hoping that at some point, she would find a way to win back the man she loves, but after seeing Jason (Billy Miller) by Sam's (Kelly Monaco) side after the explosion at her house, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) will finally reach her breaking point on General Hospital.

Jason Tries To Save Sam Before It's Too Late

After first losing Jason when he learned his identity--and the role she played in keeping it a secret from him, saying goodbye to her best friend after he moved across the country, then dealing with issues concerning their son, Jake (James Nigborn), and now learning her house has exploded--things are hard for her. However, after seeing Jason and Sam hand-in-hand when he brought her into the hospital for treatment after her ordeal, Elizabeth will finally lose control and have the breakdown that has been feared.

Meanwhile, Sam is coming to and recovering from the incident, and as she does, she will tell Jason about how he was there for her and didn't even know it--and how knowing he was there encouraged her to keep fighting for her life.

"I held on because of you, Jason," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, February 9 episode.

Now, after so much time apart and fighting the feelings they still have for one another because of the problems with his memory, the two may finally be given the chance to reunite once and for all.
