The Gilmore Girls can expect to see quite a bit of Jess Mariano as the revival gets underway.

'Gilmore Girls' Netflix: The 'Final Four Words' Get A Twist, Lauren Graham Explains

Milo Ventimiglia's character faded into the background after season 5, but Rory's troubled love interest will pop back up as the drama jumps nine years into the future. Luckily for fans, Luke's nephew will make up for lost time later this year as he appears in three episodes, or as the actor told TV Line, "more than two, less than four."

Despite his rebellious youth, Jess managed to find his place in the world before he dropped off the radar. Instead of reverting to his old James Dean ways, Jess will continue to be the same responsible young adult that managed to open his own small press.

"I think he was starting his own press in Philadelphia. He had written a book. And he was trying to re-inspire Rory into going back to her roots. Not much has changed in Jess' world since then," Ventimiglia told TV Line. "Jess might've been a pain in the ass when he first got to Stars Hollow, but he grew up and became a pretty decent guy. So it's kind of a continuation of that with Jess."

Jess will join Logan (Matt Czuchry) and Dean (Jared Padalecki) as Rory's returning love interests.

Gilmore Girls: Seasons will premiere on Netflix later this year.
