After dating 26 women on reality television, Bachelor star Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Guidici on Monday night.

The show's finale left viewers wondering who Lowe, 29, would give his final rose to in Thailand; Guidici or Lindsay Yenter. Lowe chose Guidici, 26, and confessed his need to not "say goodbye anymore."

"I think the world of you and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye. I don't want to say goodbye anymore," Lowe said. "Catherine, I want to spend the rest of my life telling you, 'I love you,' and making you feel like the most special, beautiful woman in the world."

"Is this for real?" Guidici said. "I'm so happy ... I am so grateful to have met somebody like you. I've never been so comfortable about myself and with somebody."

Before he proposed to Guidici with a Neil Lane ring and embraced her, Lowe said goodbye to Yenter, 24, and sent her home, but not before she said her own parting words.

"I'm going to go 'cause this is just really, really painful," Yenter said. "This is my nightmare. I really didn't see this coming. I'm happy for you. I'm happy that you found love. But I honestly can't imagine my life without you and that's something that I'm going to have to figure out."

Viewers also learned in the finale that the letter Lowe received was from Guidici, in which she confirmed her love for him. Lowe received the letter coincidentally after he sent Yenter home and right before he saw his fiance.

ABC confirmed earlier in March that Desiree Hartsock, 26, will star in the next season of The Bachelorette. The bridal designer was eliminated in week eight of The Bachelor.
