The singer had no shame when he gave his former longtime girlfriend a special shout out. But this went way beyond a social media rant. And this time it can’t be deleted; because he put it in his Back To Sleep remix.

He sings in the song, that also features Usher and Zayn, “Now where you been, it’s been a year/Baby I ain’t seen you, you know I miss you/ Baby let me love you back to sleep once more. And I know we don’t speak no more. But I just wanna tell you I’m sorry/For [messin] around with Keisha & MaKayla/For all the Georgia peaches in Decatur/For all these [women] in the elevator/I just want you to love me/Yeah baby don’t test me/You know I’ll do it.”

And to clear up any question or speculation on if he was actually talking about Tran, he made it clear in his next line.

“You want me to say your name girl?/ Okay, Karrueche!”

Brown hasn’t spoken out about the verse since it was released over the weekend, but he did post a couple of cryptic tweets.


As for Tran, she is said to actually be “flattered” for getting the special mention. One insider said Saturday she can’t but have “a smile on her face” as Brown continues to try to get back into her life.

“It caught her off guard but she felt it was real and genuine and appreciates it… Her notifications have been blowing up today, with everybody telling her to call him.”

Still, they added that Tran isn’t necessarily completely over all of the pain he caused during their relationship. They called it quits about a year ago after it came out that he fathered a love child, Royalty, with another woman.
