Desiree Hartsock was chosen to become the next lucky lady to be featured on The Bachelorette.

The news was announced on Monday after the conclusion of The Bachelor finale episode when Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici.

Hartsock was previously rejected by Lowe after the hometown date week.

The 26-year-old fashion designer was announced as the latest Bachelorette by show host Chris Hanson during the two-hour After the Rose special where the featured cast got together to discuss their feelings over the season.

Hartsock was quoted by USA Today about her excitement over the announcement.

"I can't even believe I'm here with the support of everyone, it's such a blessing. I feel so thankful and grateful," Hartsock said with tears in her eyes. "I'm just overcome with happiness."

She also commented about her joy over Lowe and Guidici's relationship.

"I could only hope to have the love that they've found and I am very hopeful in all of this," Hartsock said, according to CBS News. "And I do hope to meet the man of my dreams."

The finale of The Bachelor also gained the attention of Justin Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, who tweeted about the show as it aired live.

Mallette praised Lowe for choosing Guidici and wrote that the show was "the Most Dramatic Season Finale EVER."

The 38-year-old single mom of pop star Bieber also put her name in the running as a potential contestant for a future season of the hit reality dating series when she tweeted, "Who will be the next Bachelorette? Me perhaps?? Hmmmmm..."

For now the attention is on Hartsock who will not have to wait too to go on her next journey for love.

The next season of The Bachelorette will air on ABC on May 20 with a two-hour premiere.
