'Secrets and Lies' Season 2 Cancelled? Show Still Not Given Premiere Date Despite Originally Planned 'Midseason' Start? [PHOTO]

Despite what has seemed like endless promises from ABC that a second season of last year's midseason hit series Secrets and Lies was on its way, it seems as though the show is still nowhere near making its way to fan's television screens.

Ben Crawford's Fate Finally Confirmed

Despite the show being initially scheduled to run during the Winter Break, in the spot that was occupied during the main season by Nashville, the show was bumped in favor of a second season of American Crime instead. Afterwards, Secrets and Lies didn't even appear to be on the ABC schedule for the winter at all.

However, promo photos featuring the show's cast were released back in December, which seemed to be a promising sign. But since then-there has been no other word on either a trailer for the new season, or a premiere date.

Is 'Secrets and Lies' Returning In March?

With the one-year anniversary of the first season's premiere date rapidly approaching (season one began on March 1, 2015), and still no word of the second season's premiere, fans are also continually getting antsy as they wait for any word they can find-and have even taken to flooding the show's Facebook page with questions about a possible return.

"When is the official airdate for season 2?" One fan asked.

"When is the show coming back?" Another wondered.

"Well I guess everyone wants to know when season 2 will start????? Do y'all ever read this and answer back?" A third asked.

There has still been no official word from ABC.
