Tom Hardy is about to cause some serious havoc on FX's period drama Taboo.
On Thursday, a trailer was released for the original series where Hardy plays James Delaney who builds a shipping empire in the late 1800s. In what would seem like a worthwhile task, the man seems like someone who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. After being presumed dead, he is back and thirsty for vengeance.
It is speculated that his "savage" nature is what brought him to emerge and go on a chaotic spree. The trailer shows Delaney in full form where Hardy shows off his daring features, including one moment where he's almost nude.
James then goes a battle against the East India Company over his family business and it might be a losing fight. He tells the others how aware he is of how "evil" they can be because he was "once a part of it."
The trailer continues with several different scenes of fights, darkness and trippy moments that take place and James becomes the guy that all should fear. After all, he is a "very dangerous man."

Taboo is expected to premiere sometime later this year on FX.
Hardy is currently nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for The Revenant. His co-star Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
