A new international poster for Independence Day: Resurgence has been unveiled and it shows that Alien ship hovering above earth, ready for takeover.

The poster runs with the main tagline: "We had twenty years to prepare, so did they."

Fox movies revealed that poster on the official website.

Resurgence has been directed by Roland Emmerich and also stars Bill Pullman, Sela Ward and Jessie Usher.

Here's the official synopsis for the film:

"We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction."

The latest trailer for the movie was unveiled at the Super Bowl last month.

Independence Day: Resurgence will hit theaters on June 24, 2016, with the independence day just around the corner.
