Z Nation will be back before you know it.

The Syfy series closed out season 2 back in December, and the cast is almost ready to step back in front of the cameras once more. While an actual date is still up in the air, the series made the following promise on Thursday:

As for when you can expect Murphy (Keith Allan) and co. to grace your screens once more, Allan narrowed down the premiere window.

For fans, season 3 can't come fast enough. The post-apocalyptic rollercoaster closed out "All Good Things Must Come to an End" with a massive cliffhanger that made the freshman finale look like child's play: the CDC submarine exploded, Chinese soldiers reached California's shores, 10K's fate remained up in the air, and Murphy's daughter appeared to be growing like a weed.

"We knew we were coming back [for season 3], but we write every season finale and throw as much stuff up in the air," series creator Karl Schaefer told TV Insider. "Our show is all built on unpredictability, so you really have no idea what's going to happen next."
