Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wanted to take their family on an educational and cultural vacation, so they went to Japan. But they are having a bit of a tough time adjusting with the language barrier and foreign food.

In their upcoming Asia adventure, the Duggars will be trying sushi for the first time.

While some of the stars of 19 Kids and Counting will dive into the experiment, however, not all of them are so brave, reported Radar Online.

Jim Bob Duggar will be going first in trying the raw tuna.

"The only time I've ever seen tuna is eating it right out of the can. This is the first time I've ever seen a real live tuna, or I guess a dead tuna," he jokes, based on the report.

Duggar said he "didn't want to offend them so [he] tasted it."

While his daughter Jinger looks on wincing at the idea of her dad eating sushi, his wife Michelle wouldn't be persuaded.

"When it comes to raw fish I prefer to cook it first and then eat it. Otherwise raw fish belongs in the refrigerator or the freezer," she said.
