It looks like Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are on the defensive here. Rumor has it that the couple is worried about the backlash they've been getting in the media lately, as the country star has been forced to deny reports that he's an alcoholic while Gwen is insisting that she's not the one to blame when it comes to her failed marriage to ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

While Gwen has been stating in interviews that she was the one that hit "rock bottom" after she pulled the plug on her decade-long marriage to the Bush singer, Blake meanwhile is fighting off his own critics who say that he's been hitting the bottle a little too hard lately.

According to Entertainment Tonight on Friday, the country music hottie has hit In Touch Weekly with a $2 million dollar lawsuit, while claiming that he's never been to rehab for his supposed alcohol addiction.

Shelton says he was "furious" to see himself depicted as "a man who cannot function, cannot do his job, and is on the brink of death without treatment."

"Not only was I not in rehab or headed to rehab when it was published, but I also do not have a drinking problem," he claims in the declaration against InTouch's parent company, Bauer Media. "All of this was false and went so far beyond prior stories about me that I had previously denied with humor."

There's no doubt that both Shelton and Stefani think that their reputations are extremely important to them, as the always camera-ready couple is fighting back against rumors they say are simply untrue.
