Almost a month to the day that model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs lost her eye and her hand in a helicopter accident she was fitted for a prosthetic eye today.

"She was fitted and measured. The ocularist carefully painted and shaped the new eye," Cheryl Scruggs wrote on her daughter's Caring Bridge websiteThursday.

[It was an] "all day process," Cheryl added, "by 5 p.m., it was done, and her new eye was in place. It is beautiful. Thank you God for providing."

Scruggs is looking to possibly get a prosthetic arm now.

"We again met with the arm people this week," Cheryl added. "Again, another step. bittersweet......"

Now that Scruggs is physically recovering, she is now going through the emotional toll of everything.

"Lo's physical pain has subsided a great deal. It is now the emotional pain that is the tough one," Cheryl said. "Please continue to pray. Your prayers are so appreciated ... More than you know."
