Joe Giudice, husband of Bravo The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, is a couple weeks into this prison sentence in New Jersey but more has come out about what condition he was in when he checked in on March 23.

One insider claimed to Radar Online early Wednesday that he was definitely not sober on day one of prison at the Fort Dixon facility.

In fact, they said Joe, the father of he and Teresa’s four daughters, is said to have been “drunk and belligerent” when he checked in at noon that day.

They added that he was “completely wasted” and “was a total mess,” when he arrived.

And now, he might be in trouble for it.

The insider continued and said that prison officials “couldn’t believe he made a mockery of the court by immediately breaking the rules.”

He was transferred to a maximum security area of the prison instead of being in the general section where was initially slated to begin his sentence.

His entourage went as far as stopping at Starbucks before taking him to Fort Dixon in hopes of calming him down.

“His handlers desperately tried to sober him up,” the source said. Apparently this isn’t a good look for Joe, who is also facing deportation after serving his 41 months in jail.

“They will not show him any leniency. He doesn’t have a second chance. If it’s true, it shocks me. If it’s caused a maximum security designation, then it’s going to be quite different for him than being in a lower tiered level of the federal prison system.”
