The former trainer who lived at the suburban home of Judge Judy's district attorney son has been accused of the rape of a 12-year-old girl, according to ABC.com.

The accused, Alexandru Hossu, 35, and originally from Romania, is alleged to also be an illegal immigrant who overstayed his visa.

Adam Levy, son of television personality Judge Judy Scheindlin and considered a top New York attorney, has received some backlash for hiring Hossu and opening his home up to him.

Sheindlin, 70, is said to earn an estimated $45 million annually and, according to Forbes, had a net worth of approximatgely $110 million as of 2012.

Hossu was charged last week with two counts of rape in the first degree after a 15-year-old came forward and told a school counselor that she had been sexually assaulted by Hossu when she was 12.

Since the charges arose, Levy has maintained he knew nothing about Hossu's immigration status and an investigation will reveal that Hossu possessed a valid driver's license and Social Security number.

According to The Journal News, a relative of the girl told the Westchester, NY newspaper that "everybody knew" that Hossu was living in the United States illegally and said that Hossu also boasted about his connection to Levy's family.

After the alleged rape was revealed to the guidance counselor, the relative asked the girl about the attacks only to be told she "was told not to say anything about it," the relative said.

The relative, who remained anonymous to protect the victim's identity, added that Hossu even went as far as saying he worked for district attorney Levy. The relative said Hossu met the alleged victim's mother at a local gym and the two became a couple soon after.

Hossu is accused of forcibly and violently sexually abusing the 12-year-old girl twice in October of 2010.

"I don't care if this takes down the D.A.," the relative said to The Journal News. "It's heartbreaking that [the girl] carried this all by herself and didn't tell us."

Hossu is currently being held at the Putnam County jail in Carmel, NY on a $100,000 bond. He is due in court on April 2.
