Faye Resnick turned down an offer to become a full-time cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and told friends she will not appear on any future episodes of the Bravo series, a source told Radar Online.

Resnick, who is good friends with cast member Kyle Richards, had a more prominent role in the show's third season because of her disagreements with Brandi Glanville. Resnick accused the mother-of-two of being a home wrecker and destroying the lives of Adrienne Maloof and her family.

She said Glanville was "breaking up a family" and "put them through hell."

A source told the gossip website Resnick is a "tough cookie" but that the show is getting too much for her to handle.

"For her to say that things have become so bad that she is finished with the show, is a big development," the source said. "She's a very successful interior designer and being on the show is just bad for business - not to mention the fact that Faye says it is ruining her life."

The insider added that after finale aired - in which Resnick attacked Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump - she received "hateful, nasty tweets." Resnick was reportedly "shocked" that fans are emotionally invested in the show.

She was being courted to replace Maloof in season four of the show because "Lisa and Brandi need someone to fight and spar with" and producers are "extremely disappointed" that Resnick has turned them down.

"The drama is ratings gold - but, quite frankly, it just isn't worth it for her to be on the show," the source said.

Maloof confirmed she will not return for the show's next season. She also did not attend the taping for the season three reunion special. News of her departure from the series follows the announcement that Camille Grammer told Bravo producers she quit and will not return for season four of the show.
