Firestorm and Hawkgirl might not be the only powered people hitching a ride on Legends of Tomorrow's Waverider in season 2.

Casting is underway for the series' freshman run, and two new series regulars are set to join the cast. In addition to Patrick J. Adams' mysterious caped hero, the Arrow/Flash spinoff will add a meta and a female soldier to it's ranks.

Overshadowed by his grandfather's WWII legacy, one man will finally get the chance to make a name for himself. Now in his early 30s, TV Line reports that this character and his Han Solo-esque demeanor will dip his toe into Rip Hunter's crazy world when he develops superpowers.

Meanwhile, back in the 1940's, an African-American woman will her own legacy as a member of an "elite paramilitary team." In addition to working twice as hard as everyone around her, the military hero will beat herself up over the untimely demise of a teammate.

It is still unknown how many members of Rip's (Arthur Darvill) current crack team will transition to the second season, but fans can rest assured that the Fall run will saddle the time travelers with a very different type of mission.

"I can say the finale feels like a climax," showrunner Phil Klemmer told TV Guide. "This series was always meant to be something that we could never [repeat] themes [or] stories [in]. We always meant to leave it all on the field and burn all of our bridges so Season 2 would effectively have to be a totally new premise and a totally new setup. So yeah, we're really burning it down with our finale."

For now, however, the Legends have their hands full with vandal Savage (Casper Crump). Wondering what will happen in Thursday's "River of Time"? Check out the episode summary below:

"After numerous attempts in many different time periods, the team has successfully captured Vandal Savage. However, Savage tells Kendra (Ciara Renée) that he can reunite her with Carter (Falk Hentschel) so she struggles with whether she should kill him, " The CW teased. "Rip decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn't sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time to jump ship and return to their old life. Meanwhile, Savage taunts Ray (Brandon Routh) about his place in Kendra's life."
