The cancellation of Nashville may not be 100 percent official.

On Friday, Entertainment Weekly discovered from Lionsgate television group chairman Kevin Beggs that the show may be picked up on another channel after it was let go from ABC.

"We're looking for a new home," Beggs revealed. "We never give up on a great show."

The site pointed out that the show could potentially wind up on Hulu since the site already has rights to past seasons of the series. But if it winds up on live television, then perhaps it might go to CMT, DirecTV or Epix.

It's doubtful that the musical drama would go to a big broadcaster like NBC or CBS so viewers might just have to be patient from here.

Nashville isn't the only series to be canceled from ABC. Castle and The Muppets bid farewell as did Agent Carter and Galavant.

ABC shows that have been renewed for another season include Once Upon a Time, The Goldbergs, Agents of SHIELD, The Middle, Modern Family and several more.

The fourth season of Nashville dealt with a lot of crazy situations, including Juliette's erratic behavior and Rayna finally tying the knot with Deacon. In a post from The Hollywood Reporter, Connie Britton (Rayna) discussed why her character's marriage to Deacon is different from her previous marriage to Teddy.

"To some degree, her marriage to Teddy was a way of trying to cut herself off from her feelings for Deacon, so I think she only learned from her past marriage," Britton said. "I think she learned from almost marrying Luke Wheeler. And I think those things all sort of helped her to get to this place where she's like, 'You know, I'm just going to do what I probably wanted to do my whole life.'"
