The promo for the fourth season of The Fosters is here-- and it's scary as hell.

Released on Friday, the promo shows what happened in those chilling final moments in the last episode when Nick saw Mariana kissing Mat and basically lost it; it wasn't to the point where he would cry and throw a fit when someone's lover makes out with an ex. Instead he ended up lighting the theater on fire and pulled a gun out of his glove compartment.

But it doesn't stop there.

At this point, Nick's behavior is much worse than just setting a room up in flames. This time he's using his gun to an advantage involving threats and putting peoples' lives in danger-- not just Mariana, but her family as well.

Mariana says that Nick saw her kissing Mat. Then Callie gets an unexpected visitor in her room. Plus, everyone in the school has to be careful as Jude and others walk with their hands behind their heads. Also, Mariana finds herself in danger while taking a shower.

Stef is also going out of her way to stop Nick, leaving her wife to scream her name and giving the impression that someone might get shot. And then Nick happens to show up in Mariana's bedroom with the gun in his hand telling her not to scream.

Considering that this show has been known for touching drama, this season seems to take on a new turn that involves more of a horror fest than heartbreak. And with Nick's actions, he could be capable of anything.
