The petition to save Nashville petition is doing hot, hot, hot.

As of Tuesday, there are more than 95,000 signatures on the petition to let the series continue after the fourth season. More than 8,000 signatures were added in just one day.

Clearly, this petition is really popular and fans will do whatever they can to stop the show from cancellation even though that's already been announced.

It's not guaranteed that the petition will keep the show going, but it could eventually bring attention to producers and network executives. If the series doesn't continue on ABC, perhaps it could wind up on Hulu or CMT.

Connie Britton, who plays Rayna on the series, took to Instagram recently to say how much she's going to miss the show and she couldn't be more grateful to everyone who made it happen.

"I'd just like to say it's been my honor to be a part of this world, to live in it and breathe it in and try to replicate it," Britton wrote. "Sometimes we were more successful than others. But the place of Nashville in my heart is deep and permanent. I am grateful for the hard work and faith of so many who dedicated themselves to creating and supporting this show. And I am forever changed for the better. Thanks for the music."

As far as the storyline for the remaining episode, Deacon and Rayna are still having issues, plus Gunnar and Scarlett may or may not finally work things out. There's also the matter of Juliette and if she'll face the consequences for what happened with Jeff.

The final episode of Nashville airs on Wednesday, May 25 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
