She's been a main player on the Days of Our Lives cast as Abigail Deveraux for years, but Kate Mansi has officially been replaced after choosing not to renew her contract last December.

Mansi herself confirmed her final episodes would be later this month in a post on her Instagram page earlier this week, letting her fans know her time as Abigail Deveraux would officially end on June 24th.

"Tomorrow is June 1st which officially kicks off the countdown to my last episode on Days of Our Lives: June 24th. Stay tuned to my social accounts along the way-I'll be sharing some special posts and creative opportunities I have planned as a way to celebrate our journey and take us to the finish line together. Here we go!! XO," she wrote.

While performing in the role, Mansi has dealt with meaty storylines, specifically since last year, when her character didn't know if she was pregnant with either her boyfriend Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) or ex-boyfriend Chad DiMera's (Billy Flynn) baby. She later learned it was Ben's, but his jealousy over her continued connection to Chad led him to become the Necktie Killer, who killed three people, including Will Horton, and kidnapped Abigail and tried to kill her after she gave birth, before he was captured. She later learned Chad was actually her son's father, and the two rekindled their romance and married. But Ben then escaped the psychiatric hospital he was held in and stalked Abigail to try and reconcile. After she then tried to kill him and claimed not to remember what happened, she checked into a mental institution, where she has been ever since.

Of course, fans who are upset about Mansi exiting the role won't have to worry about losing Abigail from their screens forever, as the show has finally announced that they did find a replacement for Mansi, after a months-long casting search which turned up no names.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the role has gone to actress Marci Miller, who has begun taping scenes already and will debut in the role later this Fall, meaning Abigail will be off-screen for a few months before Miller is seen on-screen.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
