For any fans who have yet to sign that Nashville petition, this is a pretty good time to do so.

The petition to help bring the series back for a renewal is currently at more than 171,000 signatures. And with the way the speed is going, the petition is gaining approximately 1,000 signatures in one day, which is actually not too bad.

This sparkles some decent news since fans are doing what they can to see more episodes of the former ABC series. But there has yet to be an official news announcement on a renewal so fans are going to have to hang tight.

The current status is that the show is still canceled, but studio executives are doing what they can to find a new home.

In a previous report from Deadline, Lionsgate Television Chairman Kevin Beggs revealed that there are some ideas for what might happen if Nashville is lucky enough to come back for a fifth season.

"We want to thank creator Callie Khouri and showrunner Dee Johnson for their inspiration and guidance through tonight's exciting season finale, and know that more of the Nashville story is waiting to be told," Beggs said.

Khouri also spoke up on the possibility of renewing the show and how thankful she is to all the fans who have been spreading the word on bringing it back.

"Nashville fans are the absolute best, and support for the #BringBackNashville campaign has been amazing," she said. "We are so grateful for our extremely loyal following. We have stories left to tell and songs left to sing."

If the show does return, then hopefully an answer will be revealed on what happened to Juliette following the call in distress from her flight.
