Although Fox's New Girl is on hiatus until the middle of May, that hasn't stopped its fans from speculating just how its season 2 finale will pan out.

The respective episode is titled Elaine's Big Day, a change from its previously rumored name Downton Abbey Christmas Special.

Fox had put out the following synopsis on the episode:

"Cece's wedding day finds Jess and Nick making a decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Schmidt schemes with a typically overenthusiastic Winston to sabotage the nuptials, although a shocking announcement may be bigger than anything he plans."

Carter Matt reported that the biggest dilemma of the Cece (Hannah Simone) wedding story arc is that it's hard to fathom anyone taking it seriously that she will tie the knot.

The show left off with Jess (Zooey Deschanel) assuming maid of honor duties, although Cece didn't officially ask her. Only time will tell how Jess's plans go over, and how the wedding will ultimately pan out.

Fox's New Girl will be airing its Elaine's Big Day on Tuesday, May 15.  A comedy clip of the TV series can be viewed below.
