While fans were livid about Tamar Braxton’s firing from the hit daytime talk show The Real, the series must go on.

And that it did when the remaining co-stars: Tamer Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Bailon conducted their first interview since the news that Braxton would not be asked to return.

Mario Lopez of Extra TV caught up with the ladies Tuesday and interestingly enough it was Loni who spoke up first when asked about Braxton’s exit.
“First of all we want to let the fans know that we love them. And we were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to ‘The Real.’

Bailon added, “Absolutely” and Mowry-Housley said “Yes very” when Lopez pointed out how close they seemed to be when the cameras stopped running.

Mowry-Housley also said, “We will miss her dearly.”

As for what’s next for the show, Loni spoke on that too.

“Even though we’re on hiatus, and we’re doing other projects right now, we still wanted to give something to our fans. So we are going to New Orleans on July 1 and having a real, live show on the Essence main stage,” she revealed. “It’s free! Anybody can come. We’re doing a live girl chat, we’re gonna do everything that we can to give and show love to our fans.”

Bailon added that they are having a white party as well.

“We’re so excited about it.”
