After once again lying to her sister about the nature of her relationship with her husband, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) decided to end things with Bill (Don Diamont), and will now find solace and comfort in the arms of someone familiar on The Bold and the Beautiful.

She headed to Forrester as she tried to sort out her emotions and feelings, and ran into Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), who is going through his own tough time now that he has agreed to let Thomas (Pierson Fode) be known publicly as Douglas' father, and overheard his son asking Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) to be with him instead. However, before he could discuss what went wrong for him, Brooke will admit to her problem, and start confiding in Ridge about how this is making her feel.

As she talks with her former great love though, Brooke will start trying to prove that she has learned a big lesson about herself from this entire ordeal, and will assert to Ridge that she knows she can be single, and she wants to be that woman again, because she was stronger when she was.

"First it was you, then it was Bill," she says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, June 28 episode. "I don't need to be defined by a man. I can be a strong woman. I was that woman at some point in my life."

However, her moment could crumble when she starts admitting to herself that she isn't able to resist the charm of the man she currently loves, and that man unfortunately happens to be Bill, and she will fret again over how to handle the situation since giving in to him means hurting her sister again, something she vowed not to do, and not giving in means she winds up alone and without the man she wants by her side. As she continues to fall into despair, Ridge will then start to pick up the pieces and give her the consolation she needs.

"You made a mistake, that's all. I've made a few myself," he says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
