A fisherman managed to escape alive after being attacked by a massive 2.5 meter crocodile in France.

French fisherman Yoaan Galeran, 29, said he escaped with “few holes on the head”and some stitches, according to ABC.

Galeran says he feels fine after he fought off the crocodile during the attack just off the East Ahem Land coast last night. "I just feel that I've been lucky and I just think [if it was] a bigger crocodile, I maybe wouldn't have any head.”

The attack happened at night when Galeran was out with his friends and agreed to swim to a dinghy that was moored 20 meters offshore. "I was swimming, and maybe four or five metres from the boat, I just feel like rocks hitting on my head and something strong and I just realize [it was] a croc," Galeran said. "I just had the feeling that if I want to fight for my life, I just need to move all my body as much as I can. He just hit me on the top, on the left side, and on top of my neck and tried to push me down in the water."
Galeran said he escaped by “punching him anywhere. “

Luckily, Galeran was not seriously injured and only suffered wounds to his back, neck and head.

Meanwhile, in other reptile news, a six-year-old also managed to survive an alligator attack in Florida.

An 8-foot large alligator attacked a man’s six-year-old son and the man instinctively went to save his son.

According to WFTV, Joseph Welch was planning on enjoying a day of canoeing in Boynton Beach, Fla. with his son, Joey Welch, who abruptly wandered away, entered the dangerous waters and was attacked.

"I ran into the water. It was about waist deep. I had my son like this here, because I didn't want to play tug-o-war with the alligator. While I'm doing that, I'm punching the alligator on top of the head as hard as I could," said Joseph Welch.

"I heard these blood curdling screams and I saw this gator that had his right arm in his jaw and I just freaked," he added.

While the father was throwing punches, a stranger rushed to the water and kicked the gator in

the stomach, and it then released Joey, who incurred only minor injuries.

Luckily, the gator only ended up leaving teeth marks on Joey's stomach and arms.

"He just swam to me and clamped my arm. He didn't wait for a second," said Joey.

The federal agency stated on Monday that trappers caught and killed the 8-foot-long alligator.
